ABOUT IJACIA

THE JOURNAL

A journal devoted to applied impact.

IJACIA aims to create an intellectually rigorous forum where cybersecurity research informs practice—and practical challenges sharpen scholarly inquiry.

Our mission

The International Journal of Applied Cybersecurity and Information Assurance (IJACIA) is being established as an international, scholarly, double-anonymous peer-reviewed journal focused on applied research relevant to safeguarding information, systems, institutions, and society.

The journal seeks work that connects robust inquiry to meaningful implications for security engineering, information assurance, organizational decision-making, public policy, and education. We welcome interdisciplinary perspectives grounded in appropriate evidence and transparent methodology.

Who the journal serves

IJACIA is intended for cybersecurity researchers, information assurance scholars, security architects and engineers, governance and risk professionals, organizational leaders, educators, and policymakers.

Editorial approach

The journal will emphasize scholarly contribution, methodological integrity, research reproducibility where feasible, responsible disclosure, and constructive peer review. Editorial decisions will not be based on authors’ institutional affiliations, geography, or professional standing.

Editorial leadership

Richard Lightcap, PhD serves as Editor-in-Chief. Ervin Frenzel, PhD and Allen Spector, DSc serve as members of the Editorial Board. View the editorial board and governance details.
