HOW REVIEW WORKS

EDITORIAL STANDARDS

Double-anonymous peer review.

A structured process designed to support independent evaluation, confidentiality, constructive critique, and fair editorial decisions.

IJACIA plans to use a double-anonymous external peer-review model for scholarly research manuscripts: reviewers are not told author identities, and authors are not told reviewer identities. The editorial office retains identifying information needed to administer submissions.

01

Submission & screening

The editorial office checks completeness, scope, originality, ethics declarations, and whether the manuscript is sufficiently anonymized for review.

02

Editor assignment

A qualified editor assesses suitability, selects independent reviewers, and manages relevant conflicts of interest.

03

Independent expert review

Research manuscripts are intended to receive assessments from at least two subject-matter experts outside the editorial decision team. Reviews assess contribution, methods, evidence, clarity, and ethical considerations.

04

Editorial decision

An editor considers the recommendations and reaches a decision: revise, reject, or accept when warranted. Disagreements may require further review or editorial adjudication.

05

Revision & verification

Authors may submit a point-by-point response and revised manuscript; material revisions may be returned to reviewers. Acceptance requires editorial verification of the final manuscript.

Reviewer confidentiality & independence

Review invitations, manuscripts, and reviewer reports are confidential editorial materials. Reviewers must disclose conflicts and decline work beyond their expertise. Reviewers may not share manuscripts or upload confidential manuscript material to third-party AI systems without explicit authorization.

Editorial independence

The publisher and editorial office will maintain separation between commercial considerations and scholarly judgment. Editorial decisions are based on research merit, validity, relevance, originality, and integrity. Authors may raise procedural concerns through the editorial office.

Exceptions & transparency

Invited editorial content and other non-research formats, if offered, may follow a different editorial process; the journal will identify their review status and will not misrepresent non-peer-reviewed material as externally peer-reviewed research.

Timing

Review timelines depend on reviewer availability and revision needs. No specific review or acceptance timeline is promised in this founding phase.
